Green Glow

Green Glow is a study of light, color, and simple abundance. Painted from life, the clustered grapes caught my attention for the way they seemed to hold and reflect light — glowing against the cool, shifting tones of the surface beneath them.

Rather than focusing on tight detail, I worked to express the roundness and translucency of the fruit through confident brushwork and subtle temperature shifts. Warm yellows and fresh greens push forward, while cool blues and violets recede, allowing the grapes to feel luminous and alive. Reflections and cast shadows become as important as the objects themselves, shaping the sense of space and atmosphere.

Painted in oil on linen panel, this small still life reflects my interest in modern impressionism and the quiet pleasure of close observation. Green Glow celebrates the beauty found in ordinary moments — when light, color, and form come together just long enough to be noticed.
